YCLSA statement on yet another power drunk-Saxon World inspired reshuffling
As the YCLSA (Ufasimba) we are deeply disgusted by President Zuma's cabinet reshuffle which we view as yet another power drunk Saxon world-inspired reshuffling. We are not surprised about the targeted reshuffling of Cde Blade Nzimande, the General Secretary of the SACP. We are not shocked at all as we are all aware that the President has never given Cde Blade Nzimande, the then Minister of Higher Education and Training, the Presidential Commission report on free education and has not wanted him for a very long time.
We are also not surprised as this confirms our long held view as the YCLSA that all appointments made by President Jacob Zuma are factional as he has consistently and unashamedly taken instructions from his cronies, more particularly, the Guptas.
This power drunk- Saxon world inspired reshuffling is the declaration of war on communists and the entire working class in South Africa. Furthermore, it represents a serving of divorce papers as far as the Alliance is concerned, particularly given long drawn out tension-ridden signs that the South African Communist Party is no longer wanted in the Alliance by the Jacob Zuma's "factional mob" in the African National Congress.
This power drunk-Saxon world reshuffling undoubtedly confirms our call and thus the necessity for the African National Congress to recall President Jacob Zuma as the President of the Republic of South Africa. We say, without any ambiguity, Cde Jacob Zuma has destroyed the Alliance. He has destroyed the SOE's - one of the utmost developmental organs of our nation-state; he has destroyed the ANC, undermined our national sovereignty and sold out its people!
As the YCLSA, we call upon the SACP not to rest until Jacob Zuma has his day in court over charges of corruption. We thus call on NPA to speedily take Zuma to task on charges of fraud and corruption. We will never rest till Jacob Zuma is jailed.
We are equally disappointed that our former National Secretary, Cde Buti Manamela, was not promoted to be a Minister after his outstanding performance as the Deputy Minister in the Presidency responsible for youth development. Cde Buti Manamela was instrumental in driving youth development in the country and we are shocked that he was not rewarded for his excellent work. However, we wish him well in his new responsibilities as the Deputy Minister for Higher Education and Training.
We further note that Ministers that are underperforming and everytime self-defeatolingly score own goals have been retained because they sheepishly cower and deliver to cronies, more especially the criminal and corrupt Gupta network.
As the YCLSA, we don't welcome this cabinet reshuffle as we know that it's consequences will have a huge impact on our people, the revolution and the Alliance in it's entirety.
