YCLSA shocked at the death of Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates number one goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa
27 October 2014
South Africa is poorer this morning after receiving with shock the death Senzo Meyiwa the senior national team captain and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper. The country is still reeling from the passing away of another legend in the form of Mbulaeni Mulaudzi who passed away last week.
The Young Communist League of South Africa [uFasimba] is devastated and mourns the passing away of Senzo. He was dastardly murdered by three killers in Vosloorus, in Ekurhuleni, last night.
He was an exceptional player who served both his country and team with diligence. He was outstanding in captaining Bafana Bafana in the qualifying matches for next year's edition of the African Cup of Nations in Morocco. Both the country and his team has been robbed of such a prodigious player.
We call on police to act swiftly to apprehend those who are responsible for taking his life. We also call on anyone who may have information on the killers to come forward with the information to ensure that the killers are apprehended.
We send our most sincere condolences to his family especially his children, his soccer team Orlando Pirates and soccer lovers across tbd continent.
uFasimba luthi lala ngoxolo qhawe lamaqhawe.
